About Rockwood

Rockwood Residents’ Foundation

A History and Mission to Serve

Philanthropy has always played a major role in Rockwood Retirement Communities' heritage. Since the early days of the community, neighbors have donated generously to enhance the lives of their fellow residents.

In 1990, the Rockwood Residents’ Foundation, organized by and for the residents, was created to accept and steward these charitable gifts.  Donated funds provide benevolent care for residents who have outlived their financial resources. Through the Residents’ Assistance Fund, no resident at Rockwood Retirement Communities has ever been asked to leave due to lack of financial resources.

Gifts also support special projects, programs and capital improvements that cannot be funded by our regular operating budget, as well as provide scholarship funds for the professional development of our employees.

We are grateful for the generous support shown by our residents, their family and friends; but the need continues to grow. We ask that you please consider making a tax-deductible gift to Rockwood Residents’ Foundation to assist our continuing efforts to enhance the lives of every resident.

Every gift to Rockwood Residents’ Foundation makes a difference one gift at a time!

  • Your gift to Rockwood Residents’ Foundation can provide support for a resident who, through no fault of their own, runs out of resources to cover monthly service fees.
  • Your gift can say “thank you” for the care provided to a loved one and ensure that Rockwood Retirement Communities can continue to provide the same quality of care to others.
  • Your gift can support our dynamic wellness program and activities that enhance residents’ lives.
  • Your gift can support educational and scholarship opportunities for staff.
