Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a friendly, informative, and welcoming front desk concierge to join our Rockwood at South Hill team. As an On-call, Front Desk Concierge, you will serve as a positive first impression of the company at all times, while handling the daily responsibilities of a Concierge with efficiency and ease.
Pay Range: $17.50 – $18.77 per hour
Shift Type: On-call
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist and direct residents and visitors within the campus.
- Answer the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the appropriate person.
- Trained to know the proper procedures for fire drills and will notify security of any problems or concerns.
- Update and keep accurate all forms related to the front desk operations
- Manage the desk with dignity and respect for others
- Provide support services to other departments and residents as needed
- Have a complete understanding of the fire/safety/disaster procedures and what your role is in each area
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve as issues arrive
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff.
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience handling receptionist responsibilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel).
- Highly organized individuals who work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills.
