Rockwood South Hill is looking for a Document Clerical Assistant who will be a key person in document management and is responsible for organizing and maintaining a system of electronic documents within a nursing facility. Tasks include filing/retrieving, copying, scanning, data entry, and ensuring accurate record keeping, and tasks typically follow our established filing protocols and procedures

Pay Range: $18.00 – $20 per hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Accurately scan, upload, retrieve, and print documents to and from electronic records
  • Maintaining proper document labeling and indexing protocols
  • Routinely audit electronic documents for accuracy and deficiencies
  • Assisting with telephone, mail, and email correspondence
  • Verifying accuracy of data and documents entered to electronic systems
  • Responding to internal requests for documents
  • Assisting with telephone and email correspondence
  • Keep all medical records confidential and protected
  • Attend/complete all required training and in-services
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills and Experience

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • English language proficiency
  • Proven work experience as a clerical/office assistant
  • Proficient in computers, electronic systems, and MS Office
  • Proficient in using common office equipment (phone/fax/scanner/printers)
  • Outstanding communication, customer service, and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy when handling documents and data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills
