Zero deficiency survey
On April 17, 2013, Rockwood South Hill received a special achievement of a zero deficiency survey of the annual assisted living survey conducted by Department of Social and Health Services. This annual, unannounced survey is very detailed, thorough and intense, as surveyors check charts, visit with residents, quiz staff, and observe administration of care. Rockwood at Hawthorne has also received a zero deficiency survey in 2012 for skilled nursing.
This is very uncommon for nursing facilities to receive a perfect score. While this does not mean “perfection” it does speak to the commitment to high quality care and exceptional service standards of both Rockwood communities. Rockwood South Hill and Rockwood at Hawthorne are Spokane’s only accredited continuing care communities. Our accreditations are earned through CARF International and EAGLE Accreditation Commission, whom meticulously review our work with residents and staff. The survey results demonstrate the constant diligence and care that Rockwood puts forth to provide quality care for our residents.

SPOKANE -- A new retirement living high rise on Spokane’s South Hill is changing views in senior living. The 11-story 65-unit building located at 25th and SE Boulevard will alter the South Hill skyline with views to the east, north and west.
“The Summit” on Rockwood Retirement Center’s campus is already 50-percent sold.
The facility is scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2015.

Perfect Survey at Rockwood at Hawthorne!
Congratulations are in order for the nursing team at Rockwood at Hawthorne. It is a rare achievement to have a DSHS skilled nursing survey with zero deficiencies, but that is exactly what they did. Good work, team.
